OUR PROGRAMS
We have three main programs to educate kids about fishing. Our programs are our monthly free Kids Fishing Club Meetings, our large free kids fishing events, called Meet me at the Lake and our ocean Private Fishing lessons.
On the third Saturday of each month youth get together at our club house located at Legg Lake in Whittier Narrow Recreation Area in South El Monte. We start off each meeting in our club house and then it's off to the lake for fishing
is a unique half-day festival-style free youth fishing event open to the public and held at various local city lakes throughout the year. This powerful outreach program caters to urban kids and their families who may not otherwise have access to viable fishing opportunities.
Well offer 1/2 day private fishing charters which are really on-to–water fishing classes for you and your family. We offer these classes out of Long Beach on Dan's boat the Mi Sueño. We also offer a basic introduce into saltwater fishing on land.
Kids Fishing Club Meetings
The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation Junior Fishing Club meets on the third Saturday of each month. These meetings are a great introduction into fishing for kids. Everything is provided for the kids for free.
